This coming weekend will see the British Truck Racing Championship head to Brands Hatch Indy Circuit as the first headline event of the ‘Century of Power’ fully gets underway.

A capacity grid of heavyweight machines is expected to feature at the Kent circuit, with 20 five-tonne giants spread across two classes. These will take to the track for two races on the Saturday before a blockbuster Easter Sunday triple-header.
Star entrants to look out for include 10-time reigning BTRC title winner Ryan Smith, who is aiming to seize what would be a record-breaking 11th crown. Among those on the grid aiming to stop him, however, is Stuart Oliver, who has claimed the outright prize no fewer than 10 times himself!
Others of note gearing up for the Brands Hatch season opener include David Jenkins, another former champion. There is local interest too, with Steve Powell, landlord at a pub just up the road from the circuit, aiming for success on home turf.

The full race programme also includes entertainment from the TCR Touring Car Championship and its grid of competition saloons and hatchbacks. Further tin top competition will come from the Civic Cup and MINI CHALLENGE Clubsport, each of which is expecting a large grid.
The Pickup Truck Racing Championship will also add to the fun as it makes its anticipated return to the BTRC package full-time after a year away. The Audi Cup completes the competitive on-circuit offering.

The line-up of bank holiday weekend entertainment extends far beyond just the on-circuit action though. This includes show truck displays, featuring a wealth of pristinely maintained roadgoing HGVs, with a dedicated Truck Awards and end of event parade too.
Themed fun includes a free to take part in Easter trail, which will run from the circuit Megastore on both days. There will also be free face painting and an arts and crafts tent on Sunday. Funfair rides, UK Monster Truck rides and other experiences will also be available.
