In addition to the action- packed day of racing, the vent will be accompanied by entertainment including children’s entertainers, monster truck rides, fairground fun before the day will conclude with a huge fireworks display.

Despite the additional fun, the focus of the day will be the conclusion of the British Truck Racing Championship; fans will be able to see 1000 horsepower machines take part in action packed, wheel to wheel racing at speeds of up to 100mph with plenty of contact between the participants.

Two titles will be confirmed during the weekend; current division 1 champion Matt Summerfield is targeting his third title which he will achieve if he is able to hold off second placed Chris Levett, Sommerfield will take a 24 point lead to Brands Hatch with a total of 50 points on offer during the final weekend. A maximum of 50 points are also available in Division 2 where Simon Reid will hope to shake off competition from a two other drivers as he hopes to make the most of his 28 point lead at the top of the standings.

The championship employs a reverse-grid system, which will ensure that Reid’s division will be starting half a lap ahead of the faster Division 1 machines in each of the weekend’s five races, three of which take place on the Sunday. The highest-placed trucks from the previous race will start from the back of their group, meaning that all of the title contenders will need to overtake as many rivals as possible in order to challenge for the championships which will lead to a set of highly entertaining races as the season comes to an end.Brands Hatch trucks3
