Truck racing returns to Brands Hatch in two weeks time to add to an action packed April of motorsport at the Kent venue.Dave Smith 11 looks to lead the Division 2 field

With plenty of Kent interest in the Truck racing scene thanks to defending Champion Dave Smith in Division Two the season is bound to be eventful.

There have been several rule changes and there has even been a new race added to the weekends, there will now be qualifying on a Saturday and two races, and then on Sunday there will be three races.

Division Two which has the slower trucks to the ones competing will now get a several second head start on their faster compatriots in Division One, which should make the racing even more entertaining than it was in previous seasons.

Just like the British Touring Cars which were at Brands Hatch last weekend the Truck racing will now feature a reverse grid race.Dave Jenkins and Mat Summerfield will resume their track rivalry at Brands this April

All these rule changes and reverse grid formats should see more trucks from Division Two competing at the front of the field with the Trucks from Division One and maybe even fighting for outright wins and places on the podium.

Steve Powell will be looking to push Smith all the way in an all Kent battle in Division Two, while in Division One Mat Summerfield defending his title from Dave Jenkins and Oly Janes and many more competitive trucks.

There will be support races with American style Pickup trucks, hot rod-style legends, classic Formula Ford and saloon racing.

With all the changes the racing at Brands Hatch on the weekend of the 20/21 April is bound to be even more entertaining that it has in previous seasons.

Tickets for the British Truck Racing Championship at Brands Hatch on 20/21 April are available from £18, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. For more information call 0843 453 9000 or visit www.brandshatch.co.uk
