“We should have finished them off and had the game won by half-time but when you don’t you risk a side coming back at you as they did” said manager Neil Cugley after Folkestone Invicta’s dramatic late 2-0 win over a useful Potters Bar side at the Fullicks Stadium on Saturday.
A rare goal indeed from defender Phil Starkey in the 89th minute and a second by sub Ian Draycott deep into stoppage time gave Invicta their first home league win since August and sent the faithful in a crowd of 399 home from the Fullicks Stadium in good spirits as the chill of winter began to set in.
Folkestone need to bring the recent form that they have found in cup ties to the league as they entertain eighth placed Potter Bar Town at The Fullicks Stadium on Saturday.
