You wait all season for a win and then two come along in the last two rounds of the Power Maxed Mini Challenge for Nathan Edwards.

He took victory in the opening race on Saturday of his home round at Brands Hatch and then followed that up with two solid finishes on Sunday. Taking ninth in the opening race on Sunday morning before a stronger fifth place finish in the final race of the 2026 season.
The race had started with the grid lining up as per the result of race three at Silverstone two weeks earlier, after two incidents in qualifying prevented drivers from setting the required second fastest time to set the field.
That left Sam Gornall on pole, and the Pro Alloys Racing driver was able to keep the lead at the start ahead of team-mate Max Edmundson, with Nathan Edwards in third and Tom Ovenden jumping up to fourth on the run to Paddock Hill Bend.
Edwards quickly dispatched with Edmondson to hit second spot at Druids, with Ovenden trying to follow him through, only for the Pro Alloys Racing driver to defend into Graham Hill Bend.
Ovenden tried again on the GP loop however and swept through to take third spot, putting him in a position to extend his lead in the standings.

The field then went under caution when Anthony Sullivan suffered a spin into the gravel at Druids, with racing resuming on lap five.
Gornall nailed the restart to keep his lead from Edwards, with the only early move coming further down the pack as Harry Hickton overhauled Ned Anthony to move into the top ten having found himself starting back down the order.
Gornall’s lead only latest until Stirling’s however, when he dipped a wheel onto the gravel and allowed both Edwards and Ovenden to sweep though, but he he fought back heading into Paddock Hill Bend at the start of lap six.
Going around the outside allowed Gornall to grab second, with Edmondson following him through to suddenly put him in a position to take points out of Ovenden at the top.
Behind the top four, Alex Solley had slotted into fifth, with Olivier Algieri rounding out the top six and Hickton rising up into seventh as he continued his charge through the field.
As Edmondson and Ovenden diced for third, the front pair were able to start edging away whilst behind, Solley was gaining ground to make it a three-way fight for the podium – leaving Ovenden watching in his mirrors whilst also trying to find a way ahead of his rival.
Ovenden made a small error at the end of lap nine when he dipped a wheel into the gravel at the final corner to allow Solley through, with Algieri also getting ahead on the following lap as Gornall reclaimed the lead from Edwards.

However, an off into the gravel at turn one for Alex Brandham saw the race red-flagged and the result rolled back a lap, which resulted in Edwards being declared as the winner for the second time this season ahead of Gornall, who gained ground in the Rookie Cup standings with the class win.
Speaking after the race, Edwards said: “I felt like I was being attacked from all angles, but I was really, really happy with my drive.”
“I got a good start and when I got to the front, I felt comfortable but then got a warning for track limits, and I had to be careful to avoid another one.
“That allowed Sam to close back in, and it was quite interesting as we have a car that is strong in one part of a circuit, and his is strong in another. It made for exciting racing, and I think it’ll be the same tomorrow.”
