Kent’s Michael Crees maintained his Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship points scoring record at Brands Hatch Indy circuit at the weekend.

The Excelr8 Hyundai driver scored points in races one and two on Sunday and only narrowly missed out on points in race three as well.
Started from 16th on the grid in race one Cress running the soft tyre and was able to race his way forwards into the points in 13th place – matching the pace of the top five in doing so.
Race two was another almost carbon copy as he scored more points for a 14th place finish, as he got to grips with the Hyundai and enjoyed some great racing.

Leaving the hard tyre for the final race of the weekend, Crees was close to scoring a third points finish, coming home in 16th place.
Speaking after the weekend, Crees said: “I’m delighted to score two points finishes this weekend, although I’m also a bit gutted we didn’t get the third one as it was so close! The hard tyre was just really difficult to race with, and we missed out in the final one.

“I feel I battled really hard and showed people what I can do in the car, as I’m only getting better and only getting stronger. I think the performance here was light years away from Brands Hatch as the support of the fans, and having more people here to cheer me on was like the twelfth man in a football match.
“I’m feeling more settled in the team which is good, and I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made so far.”
