Rain decimated week five of the Kent League Premier Division cricket season with all five games abandoned, two without a ball being bowled.

One of them ended Tunbridge Wells’ one hundred percent record. Visiting St. Lawrence and Highlands Court, there was no action possible and the two teams took nine points apiece.
Second and third placed Blackheath and Bromley met at the latter’s ground in Plaistow Lane and just seven deliveries were possible. The visitors were asked to bat first and finished on five runs without loss.
Starting in fifth place, Bexley hosted Hayes who were one spot higher with the home team inviting their guests to bat first. Despite taking a painful blow to the ‘unmentionables’, Finan Bryan was on 27 not out and Will Harby 21 not out when play drew to a halt at 52 for none from eleven and a half overs.
Coming into the game having lost all four games so far, Minster hosted Lordswood in the match that had the most play. The visitors were put in and Linden Lockhart raced to 60 not out from just 49 deliveries when play was called off at 111 for 3 from one ball short of sixteen overs
Finally, the other match in which there was no activity was when this season’s two promoted teams were scheduled to meet with Sevenoaks Vine hosting Whitstable.
