Kent FA looking for Guard of Honour
Kent FA looking for Guard of Honour

The Kent FA is looking for a special group of youth footballers to welcome the teams on to the pitch on Non-League Finals Day at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 22nd May.

Guard

This year will be the first time that the FA Vase and the FA Trophy Final have been held on the same day and will provide an opportunity to showcase the world-leading English non-league system, recognise the 500 teams to have taken part in this season’s Vase and 276 in the Trophy, and celebrate the grassroots game, through activities and fan engagement during the day.

The day will have a festival atmosphere so it should be a really good fun day of top quality football.

The selected youth teams will form a flag bearers guard of honour around three sides of the pitch at Wembley Staidum and wave flags to welcome teams for both the FA Vase & then the Trophy Final.

The Kent FA are looking for three teams to represent the county and their club at this fantastic opportunity.

The children will need to be accompanied by the correct number of adults for their respective age groups, who will be given free entry to the Finals for the day:

Aged 4 – 8 years: 1 adult to 6 children

Aged 9 – 12 years: 1 adult to 8 children

Aged 13 – 18 years: 1 adult to 10 children

If you are interested in this opportunity to be a part of football history, please submit your team and club name, how many people in the team and a contact name and phone number by email to [email protected] by 5pm, Thursday 28th May 2016.

Depending on the number of applications, the winning three teams will be picked out of a hat and notified the following week.

Good Luck!
