Kent Cricket have announced the signing of right-arm seamer George Garrett on a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old, from Hertfordshire, made his first-class debut aged 19 for Warwickshire in 2019, taking two wickets at Edgbaston against Somerset.

Garrett has featured in all formats for Warwickshire, most recently taking 2-36 at Taunton in their 4 August win over Somerset in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.

On signing for Kent, Garrett said: “Since signing at Kent, I’ve been nothing but excited for what’s to come.

“A fresh start, at a top Club, with good people. I look forward to contributing to results on the pitch and calling Canterbury my home.”

Kent’s Director of Cricket, Simon Cook, said: “We’re extremely pleased to bring George in for 2024 and beyond.

“He’s an exciting young bowler that has taken wickets in all three formats and will hopefully continue to improve his skillset as a Kent cricketer.”
