Kent Cricket have confirmed that ‘keeper-batter Sarah Bryce has been awarded Kent Women Cap 55.

Scotland international Bryce joined Kent Women in the 2020 season, and in a year heavily impacted due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the right hander scooped both Batter of the Year and Women’s Player of the Year at the 2020 Spitfire Kent Cricket Awards.

Bryce came fourth overall in the run charts during Kent Women’s London Championship campaign that season; her 78 runs in two innings with an impressive strike rate of 93.98 in the 50-over competition.

In 2021, the 22-year-old contributed to both Kent Women’s Women’s London Championship and County T20 South East Group victories, with two T20 half centuries, including 63 not out opening the batting against Middlesex at The County Ground, Beckenham.

Her exploits with the bat and gloves in Women’s T20s for Kent during the 2021 led Women’s Head Coach, Dave Hathrill, to name Bryce as the Horses’ T20 Player of the Tournament after the Horses won the competition.

A champion in the first edition of the Hundred with Oval Invincibles and an established Scotland international, Bryce has committed to the 2022 with Kent Women once more when made available by her region, the Lightning.

She has captained Kent Women on one occasion so far, in a 46-run victory over Essex Women in 2021’s Women’s London Championship.
