British Superbikes head to Brands Hatch

Brands Hatch hosts the first of its two rounds of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend as the season heads to the venue’s iconic Grand Prix circuit.

Kent’s very own Bradley Ray leads the championship as the series head to his home circuit, and he will be keen to continue what has been one of the most impressive starts to the season ever.

He has nine race wins so far this season, and the two races he hasn’t won he has finished in second and third places, meaning he has a 52 point lead over 2024 champion Kyle Ryde going into the weekend’s three races.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Ray said: “I’m really looking forwards to Brands Hatch, it’s my home round and I enjoy the circuit and the crowd is always so good there. I missed the circuit a lot while away in World Superbikes and I’m really excited to return. Historically, the Yamaha R1 has performed well there, so we’re hopeful for another positive weekend.”

“It’s been unbelievable start to 2025, but we have to keep our feet on the ground and keep working the way we are to always try and improve. I just want to carry on the work we are going as a team and maximise every session and every race. It will be important to get as much information for when we come back at the last round. I’m ready to fight and give it my all as always!”

Ray will not be the only local talent who will be looking to do well as they head to their home round. His good friend Tom Ward will be looking to continue his run of form in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, he currently sits third in the championship.

Fenton Seabright will also be looking to close the gap on Kas Beekmans in the Pirelli National Superbike Championship following his double victory at Knockhill before the summer break.

There promises to be a lot action on and off the track to keep the crowds entertained.
