Worgan makes switch to Dover
Worgan makes switch to Dover

Goalkeeper Lee Worgan has left Maidstone United to join Dover Athletic’s relegation fight.

The Stones stopper was for the past two and a half seasons skipper under previous boss Jay Saunders and has played nearly 300 times for Maidstone United.

The 34 year old keeper is the latest player to make the move to Crabble under new boss Andy Hessenthaler as they look to avoid relegation from the National League.

He’lll go straight into the Dover Atheltic squad for Tuesday’s home League with Dagenham & Redbridge, whilst Stones boss Harry Wheeler will probably give a debut to loan signing Grant Smith in the Kent derby at Stonebridge Road against Ebbsfleet United.
