On Saturday afternoon, Welling United are back at home, entertaining Potters Bar Town in an Isthmian League Premier Division encounter.

Last Saturday, the Wings claimed their second successive league win with an excellent two-one victory at Whitehawk. Bradley Sach put the Wings ahead in just the third minute of his debut.
Lewis Chambers was introduced for his first appearance on loan from Chatham Town in the second half and he added his name to the score-sheet in stoppage time. Although Welling were unable to hold on for their first league clean sheet of the season, the three points were the most important thing.
Meanwhile, Potters Bar were at home to Cray Wanderers and went down two-nil. Freddie Price scored early and Saul Kader late. That left them bottom of the table, three points behind Canvey Island and four behind Welling, although they have played one game fewer than both of them.
They are currently bottom of the form guide with just three points from their last eight games from a two-one win at St. Albans City.
Leading up to the match, it will have been new Welling manager Ryan Maxwell’s first week since taking over without a midweek match, meaning that he and his coaching staff will have had more time to work on his preferred style with his players.
Although, Femi Akinwande made his debut for the Scholars in their match against Cray Wanderers, he will not be on the field this Saturday. One week earlier, he scored for Welling with his final touch of a twelve match spell in a Wings shirt, and an agreement in the transfer means that he is not allowed to play in this match.
