Football under the floodlights takes place at Erith Leisure Centre this evening when Welling Town host Halls AFC in the Southern Counties East Football League First Division.

One victory in 2026 has left the Boots in penultimate position in the league table whilst Halls have only won twice since the turn of the year and find themselves at risk of being dragged into the relegation battle.
On Saturday, Welling did not have a game. They last played last Wednesday when they hosted Croydon. They were one-nil up at half time through a goal by Theo Jeffrey, however, Red Jenkins levelled on the hour mark and substitute Kanan Fitton scored the winner for the visitors with twelve minutes to spare.
Croydon were also Halls last opponents when they visited them on Saturday. After a goal-less first half, Fitton put the away team ahead ten minutes after the restart and Tom Barton ensured victory for them when adding a second goal seventeen minutes later. That was Halls’ third game in a row without a point or a goal.
When the two teams met with Halls hosting at Dartford’s Princes Park back in mid-August, Harvey Roberts scored the only goal of the match three minutes before half time giving Welling all three points.
Last season, both clubs hosted home games at the Erith Leisure Centre and claimed a win apiece, both in favour of the ‘away’ team. Welling won the first game in October, two-one, then Halls won the second encounter in November four-two, despite being two-one down with two minutes remaining.
