Walsall v Charlton Athletic preview
Walsall v Charlton Athletic preview
Charlton head to Walsall on Tuesday evening knowing a win will put them back in the play-off places.

The Saddlers are not in good form at the moment. They have lost three of their last four games in the league, and on Saturday, Nigel Clough’s Burton beat them 3-1 at the Bescot.

Lee Bowyer will have a number of injuries to assess, and decisions to make, before naming his team. Anfernee Dijksteel and Ben Reeves picked up knocks in the 2-0 win over Doncaster at the weekend.

The Addicks could look like this:

Steer; Solly, Bielik, Pearce, Sarr; Pratley, Cullen, Aribo, Fosu; Taylor, Grant.

Subs: Phillips, Lapslie, Marshall, Reeves, Ward, Ajose, Vetokele.

Tom Nield from West Yorkshire will referee Charlton for the first time.

Though not an easy game, Bowyer could not ask for a better time to visit the Bescot, and will be confident of returning down the M6 with the three points.
