Victory for Reilly at Brands Hatch

Kent’s James Reilly and the BPC Tuning and Team Trojon became the only team so far this season to score 2 victories in the popular Silverlake C1 Endurance Series, last weekend at Brands Hatch.

With consecutive wins at Donington Park and Brands Hatch, this time out Team Trojon completed the double with an emphatic Pole Position in qualifying followed by a win aided by a decisive pit stop strategy in the final few laps.

Coordinated by the West Malling-based BRSCC working alongside the C1 Racing Club, the Silverlake C1 Endurance Series sees grids of up to 60 tiny Citroen C1s do battle over a series of exciting and intense long-distance races including the flagship 24hr event at Silverstone.

BPC Tuning have fielded multiple Citroen C1s in each race this season, with Canterbury-based 16-year-old James Reilly – partnered alongside American William Hendrix – finishing 21st out of the field of 42 this time out at Brands Hatch.

Reilly and Hendrix each also piloted two BPC Tuning-prepared BMW 320 E30 over the weekend in the ClubSport Trophy and new SuperSport Endurance Cup races, with both scoring top 3 placed results in their respective classes.

Speaking after the weekend, BPC Tuning boss Jack Watts said: “We are over the moon with the progress of all our drivers this year and impressed with their consistency. 2 wins back-to-back is not something we thought would have happened going into the weekend but the Team Trojon drivers pulled it out of the bag, working alongside our hardworking pit crew and team behind the scenes who each deserve our thanks.

James and Will have both showed strong promise this season, and I expect a top 10 finish or even a podium is shortly within their sights.”
