VCD Athletic v Corinthian preview

On Tuesday night VCD Athletic entertain Corinthian in an Isthmian League South East Division Kent derby match.

At present the Vickers are in third place after eight games while the Hoops are in sixteenth place but  have only played six games.

Although VCD were knocked out of the F.A. Trophy by Chertsey Town on Saturday, Nick Davis has got them firing in the league having won their last three games, their most recent being last Tuesday with a victory over Burgess Hill Town.

Brentwood Town ended Corinthian’s F.A. Trophy hopes on Saturday and it is taking them a little time to adjust to their new league having been promoted in the summer.

They haven’t won a league game since the opening day of the season when they recorded a one-nil victory at Hythe Town but they will feel that if they can get another win it will re-boot their season.

As both teams will be looking to bounce back from Saturday, it’s likely to be a competitive battle.
