Kent spinner James Tredwell has been named in England’s squads for the ODI tour of the Caribbean and the ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.

31-year-old Tredwell featured in three ODIs and one T20 international for England during their recent ODI series in Australia, and is the most experienced spinner in both of the squads, with the previously uncapped Stephen Parry of Lancashire the only other specialist slow bowler named.

Tredwell stepped down from the role as Kent captain at the end of the 2013 season to focus on his international career.

16 England players will head to the Caribbean for three ODIs and three T20s against the West Indies, with the first ODI to be played on February 28.

Alongside Parry, Worcestershire’s Moeen Ali is a new face named in both squads, while Harry Gurney of Nottinghamshire is selected for England for the first time for the Caribbean series.
