It was a top ten finish for Jake Dixon at the Spanish GP at the weekend as the Moto2 season arrived in Europe.

The Dover born rider started finished just inside the top ten with a ninth place finish, on a hot Spanish afternoon.
He started from ninth on the grid, having had a strong start and sat seventh towards the close of a hectic lap one.
The Briton was struggling in the early laps however, and by lap four he had dropped to 11th. Knowing it was crucial to score points, the 29-year old recovered two places to finish a solid ninth.
This result sees Jake remain third in the World Championship standings with 66 points, 20 back of leader Manuel Gonzalez.

Speaking after a challenging weekend, Dixon said: “It was a difficult day to say the least. We did the best we could possibly do. I didn’t stop pushing or give up until the end.
“I even had a moment on the second to last lap, when I ran wide at the end of the back straight like in practice. Luckily, I didn’t run off and into the gravel and just kept giving everything until the last lap.
“I want to say a massive thank you to the team because they never stopped trying to fix the problems I’ve been having this weekend. We did the best we could do and I already can’t wait for the next one!”
