KSN are proud to support:

Tonbridge Angels 0-0 Slough Town
Tonbridge Angels 0-0 Slough Town

A new era has begun at Tonbridge Angels with manager Craig Nelson earning a creditable draw in his first game as a manager at home to Slough Town, who came to frustrate the Angels and their efforts for three points.

The game saw Tonbridge start the brighter, but Slough had the first real chance when in the sixth minute Jared Myers eighteen yards out saw his shot come back off the post.

Two minutes later a ball into the area found ex Angel Jordan Greenidge but his shot again came off the post. Tonbridge seemed as though they were strangers as they kept giving the ball away.

In the twenty first minute another chance came when a corner to the back post found Reiss Greenidge and from six yards his header bounced over the bar. Tonbridge had their first half chance in the twenty eighth when a ball into the area was half cleared to Jordan Higgs and his twenty-five-yard shot went over the bar.

In the thirty eighth minute Slough should have taken the lead when a cross from the right wing found Jordan Greenidge six yards out but his shot went straight at Jacob Adams.

The half ended and Scot Davies would have been wondering how his team were not in front as they dominated for most of the half while Craig Nelson would have been pleased with the scoreline but not the performance.

Tonbridge came out with a little bit more effort and in the forty eighth they nearly scored when a free kick just outside the area on the by-line taken by Bailey Akehurst shot a cross the area just avoiding a touch to put it into the net, this would be their last chance as Slough again took charge of the game.

In the sixtieth minute Jordan Greenidge got free on the right side and went into area before his shot went across the goal ending up as a goal kick then in the sixty ninth Adams came to Tonbridge’s rescue when Jaiden Drakes-Thomas saw his twenty-five-yard effort was pushed around the post.

The rest of the game saw Tonbridge huff and puff without causing any problems for Slough while Slough saw the game out but will go back to Berkshire wondering why they had not picked up an away win. Next up for Tonbridge is an away game at AFC Totton.
