Today’s subject in our “Twenty-two Days in May” series is the first Kent captain ever to win a game and lift a Trophy at Wembley Stadium as his side created Kent footballing history by becoming the first (and so only) side from the County to lift the FA Vase.

Wembley Stadium first opened in 1923 and it took until the year 2000 for Kent football to record a win under the Twin Towers when Deal Town won the FA Vase Final against Chippenham Town.
