Cray Wanderers pre-season continued with a trip to West Sussex to the picturesque, tree lined setting of Burgess Hill Town and came from behind twice to draw the game 2-2 which on balance was perhaps the right result.

Cray Wanderers travelled to a sunny if breezy Whitstable Town for the third pre-season game and it was the home side who proved victorious courtesy of Ollie Rowe’s 20th minute goal in a game which saw the welcome return of spectators to football.

It’s been four months since I last saw a football match played live at Hayes Lane, me and my son Mikey, made the familiar journey from our house to the ground to see Cray Wanderers play Brightlingsea Regent in an Isthmian League Premier Division game.
