Sutton Athletic v Holmesdale preview

Sutton Athletic entertain Holmesdale in the SCEFL Premier Division at Lower Road in Hextable tonight.

Sutton go into the game unbeaten in three league games, the latest being a 4-1 win over K Sports at home on Saturday, with Arlie Desanges scoring all four for The Sutts.

The win moved them into tenth place with 40 points from 28 league games in their first season since promotion from Division One. Athletic have also reached the semi final of the League Cup, but trail Fisher 3-1 from the first leg, played last midweek.

Holmesdale make the short trip over from Bromley in seventeenth on a difficult run of six straight losses, which has seen Lee Roots’ side drop down to seventeenth place with 30 points from 28 games, just eight points off the relegation zone.

On Saturday The Dalers lost 1-0 at Tunbridge Wells, conceding just three minutes from time. When the sides met at Oakley Road back in October, Sutton won 1-0 with a first half strike from Conor Evans and this game could be equally as close with Dan Kelly’s side looking to carry on their good form and the visitors in need of turning things around with ten league matches left to play.

Entrance for the game is £8 for adults and £5 for concessions and under 16s go free, there is also a printed programme for £2.

Kick off is at 7:45pm.
