Success for Medway Titans
Success for Medway Titans

There was success for Kent’s Medway Titans at the weekend as they came back from Norfolk with some silverware.

The Titans play in the Medway Junior Netball League, but this past weekend they traveled to Great Yarmouth for an U14’s – 15’s tournament arranged by Sports Tours.

After a day of great standard netball on the Saturday, the girls qualified to compete in the plate competition on Sunday.

The day saw Titans undefeated in the group games, semi and the final and are proudly bringing back a great bit of silverware to Medway, presented by Surrey Storm’s Mikki Austin.

Not only did the girls put in fantastic individual performances, but they exemplified good grace, fair play and teamwork.

Through hard work, determination and a perpetual positive attitude the girls have worked their way up through the divisions of the Medway Junior Netball League with a promotion to the premier division this season.

Speaking of their successful weekend, coach Kate Briffitt said:

“They are a united unit on and off the court, a pleasure to coach and a wonderful example of how an inclusive team attitude pays dividends in competition.”
