Kent’s Director of Cricket, Paul Downton, has today confirmed that the squad for Kent Spitfires’ Royal London Cup Final against Lancashire will be chosen from the same pool of players available to Kent during the group & knockout stages of the tournament.

A statement released by the club confirmed the decision not to include any of the players currently featuring in the Hundred for Saturday 17th’s final against Lancashire at Trent Bridge:

It reads:

“This is a unanimous decision made by the Club’s coaching staff & Men’s Captain, Sam Billings.”

“The group of players available for Kent so far has won what have effectively been five knockout matches in a row, playing some excellent cricket, & fully deserve their opportunity to represent Kent in a domestic final.”
