Solid weekend for Ray
Solid weekend for Ray

Lydd’s Bradley Ray had another solid weekend in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Silverstone.

The Synetiq BMW rider took three points finishes with a fifth place finish the highlight of the weekend for Ray in race two.

In race two he started ninth on the grid and worked his way impressively from the third row of the grid to take that fifth place. Having some superb battles with some of his closest rivals on the grid on board his BWM S1000RR, netting himself 11 points.

Over the weekend he was the front running BMW machine for the most part with a twelfth place finish in race one, and then in race three and the half way point of 2020 he took a 13th place finish. Meaning more solid points for Bradley.

Speaking after a solid weekend, Ray said: “Race two was encouraging and showed the potential of the package but Silverstone National can be a bike specific circuit and we struggled to find that extra little bit required in races one and three to be super competitive.

“Oulton is up next and a circuit more suited to the BMW S1000RR and is a real rider’s circuit; one I really enjoy. The team is working hard with development and I’m confident we can find that consistency at three good tracks that finish the season at Oulton, Donington and Brands GP.”
