KSN are proud to support:

Sittingbourne 1-1 Haringey Borough
Sittingbourne 1-1 Haringey Borough

Both teams came out today to win the game but they will have to fight it out on Monday night at Haringey’s ground.

This was a great game for the neutrals as stated both sides showed that they wanted to win on the day, also Sittingbourne stopped their losing streak.

The game started slowly & the first half chance came in the 6th minute when a corner into the 6 yard area saw Rakim Richards rise but headed wide, five minutes later it was Sittingbourne’s turn when a corner into the area saw John Coker rise but he headed wide.

As the game went on both sides were guilty of giving the ball away close to the end they were shooting at, in the 14th minute Chris Webber decided to have a go when 25 yards out his shot was parried away by Valerey Pajetet.

In the 20th minute Haringey thought they had taken the lead when David Olufemi six yards out saw his shot cleared off the line & go to Kai Heather but from 20 yards his shot went over the bar.

In the 24th minute Sittingbourne took the lead when Miles Cornwall in the area saw his shot from 15 yards parried away by Pajetet & Kane Rowland reacted the first & stabbed the ball into the net.

This seemed to stun Haringey as Sittingbourne looked to get back on the winning trail. In the 31st minute Webber again tried his luck from 25 yards but it went over the bar & two minutes later a free kick into the Sittingbourne area was retrieved by Ralston Gabriel who hooked it back into the 6 yard box where Rakim Richards was & his header went just wide of the post.

In the 43rd minute Tom Loynes on the right sent in a low tantalising cross which forced it to be cleared away for a corner.  Two minutes were added on & Haringey got the equaliser in the last few seconds of the half when a free kick into the area found Gabriel who from 6 yards out unopposed headed in.

The second half took a while to get going as both sides eased their way back into the game & then in the 65th minute Sittingbourne had a real good chance to take the lead when Cornwall on halfway pout Rowland through on the right wing, Pajetet came rushing out of his area to challenge Rowland but Rowland slid the ball round him but went wider than he wanted enabling Pajetet to get back into his area & save his shot in the very next minute Haringey had a chance when Gabriel 25 yards out shot just over the bar.

In the 71st minute Haringey could or maybe should have taken the lead when a long ball forward saw Gabriel latch onto it & then beat John Coker & go into the area & from 15 yards his shot went past the post.

Two minutes later in this topsy turvey game a corner by Tom Loynes was met by Coker 6 yards out but Pajetet saved it, with time running out Sittingbourne forced Pajetet into two saves, firstly in the 85th minute Kane Phillip latched onto a clearance & from 18 yards his volley was saved & then in the 89th Webber saw his cross shot from the right saved at the near post.

The full time whistle went & both sides will have to go again on Monday night.
