Shrewsbury Town vs Gillingham – Preview

Gillingham are back in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon as they head to Shrewbury Town.

They go into the game on the back of their first league victory last weekend at home to Morecambe.

Steve Evans does have some injury worries ahead of the visit to Shrewsbury with Vadaine Oliver having been withdrawn during the Carabao Cup second round at half time with an ankle injury.

The Gills will still be without Alex MacDonald who is likely to be back in training from Monday. David Tutonda is back in training after getting injured midweek.

Evans is hopeful of adding to his squad saying that he was in talks with the chairman and two or three players, that he was hopeful of being added to the squad.

Shrewsbury Town go into the game having yet to win in the league from their opening four games of the season. They are currently bottom of the table with no points, but Steve Evans and his side will be under no illusions that Saturday afternoon will be a tough game.
