Sevenoaks Town 3-2 Broadbridge Heath

Sevenoaks Town won a five-goal thriller thanks to hattrick hero Nathan Jeche as they overcame a tough Broadbridge Heath side on Saturday afternoon.

The game started with Broadbridge taking the lead in the ninth minute when Samuel Hards in the area saw his first shot saved by Jordan Perrin’s legs but unfortunately, it went straight back to Hards who from ten yards smashed into the net.

It took another nine minutes before Sevenoaks had their first shot on target when Courtney Barrington on the left wing cut inside and his shot was easily saved by Alfie Hadfield.

In the 24th minute Sevenoaks equalised when Barrington was fouled in the area a bit contentious but that did not bother Jeche as he strode up and wacked it into the bottom right-hand corner. In the 33rd minute Jaden Perez saw his twenty-yard shot pushed over the bar by Hadfield.

Another chance came four minutes later Barrington on the left wing cut in and his cross shot evaded everyone and went past the far post. In the 42nd minute Sevenoaks had a glorious chance to take the lead when in a counterattack Jeche running towards goal passed to Perez but from twenty yards his shot went over the bar.

The half time whistle went, and both teams would be happy with the position they were in.

Sevenoaks got the start they wanted as in the 51st minute they took the lead when a ball into the area caused a bit of confusion and a clearance was charged down by Jeche and went into the back of the net.

Five minutes later Broadbridge were back into the game when the ball in the area saw Kevin Diomande adjudged to have committed a foul, up stepped Zachary Young who slammed the ball into the bottom right hand corner game on.

It took twelve minutes when Sevenoaks restored their lead when a long throw into the area was half cleared to Jeche whose volley was hand balled by the defender and another penalty given, up stepped Jeche to complete his hat trick when he shot the penalty straight down the middle to make it thirteen goals this season.

Broadbridge took a while to get over this but did have a few chances to get back into the game. In the 85th minute Charlie Dickens cleared off the line and in the next minute Matthew Hay found himself free in the area, but Perrin saved his shot.

The last chance of the game came in the 92nd minute when James Jeffrey in the area saw his shot parried away by Hadfield.
