Jake Dixon grabbed an excellent second place finish in the latest round of the Moto2 Championship from Barcelona at the weekend.

It was a welcome return to the podium for the Dover rider who has been off the podium since the German GP.
Dixon started from second on the grid, Jake had a good start to maintain position and sit behind pole sitter Dani Holgado at the close of lap one.
As Holgado broke clear, the Briton was then fighting with Dani Muñoz for second throughout the race. After sitting in third place from lap six onwards, Jake took second position with a neat first corner pass on the penultimate lap.
Jake ultimately finished 2.5s back of the victor and remain fifth in the championship standings with 152 points.

Speaking at the end of an excellent weekend, Dixon said: “I’m super happy. I had a bit of drought since the Sachsenring without a podium! I’m delighted to be back and I want to thank Marina (Rossi), Patrick (Kramer) and all the guys and girls in my team.
“First and foremost, I hope Filip’s OK because I heard he crashed. We picked up where we left off at Balaton Park. I’ve had a personnel change in the team. I feel much better on the bike now and I’m able to ride in the way that I need to. I don’t think it will be easy from here but we’ve built on the soild base from the last round here.
“Misano is a track where I’ve struggled in the past but I’m happy to go there in good form. Let’s keep this run going and do the same again at the next one.”
