Monday night football returns to the Masher Brothers Community Stadium when SC Thamesmead host Lewisham Borough CFC in the Presence & Co. Southern Counties East Football League Challenge Cup second round.

Currently fourteenth in the Division One table, the Acre have struggled for league wins with just two to their name so far. However, they have picked up six draws, and have played several tight games that could easily have gone their way.
Their most recent outing was on Saturday at Lydd Town where they claimed all three points in a comprehensive five-nil win. Wale Odedoyin opened the scoring in the third minute and George Dennis made it two from the spot seven minutes later. Jamie Williams added a third midway through the second half, Dennis scored his second, and Chris-Emmanuel Loko rounded off the scoring in stoppage time.
Meanwhile, Lewisham Borough fell to defeat at FC Elmstead. Two goals in two minutes, shortly after the half time break, scored by Alfie Sanders and Joshua Fill, were enough to give the hosts all three points.
As a result, they dropped one place to eleventh in the table with sixteen points from thirteen games with five wins and one draw.
At home, the Acre are yet to win a league game while Lewisham have just one victory on the road so both clubs will be looking to improve their records and to start climbing up the league.
