New manager, Karl Robinson, was unveiled to the press on Monday afternoon.
The manger said that he had asked coach Chris O’Loughlin‎ – who was due to return to Belgium this week – to stay on.
O’Loughlin’s sessions are believed to be popular with the players.
‎Robinson wants to bring in another coach, believed to be his long time MK Dons assistant, Richie Barker.
Robinson will take charge for the first time on Saturday – ironically against MK Don’s in the FA Cup at The Valley.
Robinson deploys a more expansive game than Slade, and his style will be more popular with the fans.
For a variety of reasons, the new manager is likely to field a near full strength team on Saturday.
If successful, the Addicks could get a lucrative tie against one of the giants in the Third Round.
