Reid to act as Kent CEO

Kent Cricket have announced the appointment of Nimmo Reid as Acting CEO of the Club from 1st November 2025.

Reid, the Club’s Chief Operations Officer, will take on the role whilst Kent Cricket works to secure the appointment of a new full-time Chief Executive in the coming months.  The current CEO, Simon Storey, who indicated in March that he will be stepping down from his role at the end of the season, will formally handover leadership on 31 October 2025 and move into an advisory role at the Club.

Reid originally joined Kent Cricket in 2000 as a Club Physiotherapist and was Head of Science & Medicine for Kent Spitfires’ 2007 Twenty20 Cup win. Since then, he has overseen the development and growth of the St Lawrence Clinic, as well as taking on leadership of the Club’s Venue Operations, before being named as Chief Operations Officer.

Kent Cricket’s COO, Nimmo Reid, said: “Having been at the Club now for over 20 years, I’m delighted to be taking on the Acting CEO role whilst we ensure that the right person will join us on a permanent basis.

“All of the staff at the Club are working hard to ensure that we remain competitive on and off the field, with a lot of work having been done in a cricketing perspective with our Men’s and Women’s Talent Pathways, as well as looking into ways of making our two venues at Canterbury and Beckenham profitable all year round.

“Together, we’ll continue to work hard to secure the Club’s business plans and ensure that Kent Cricket is in as good a position that it can be ahead of us welcoming a new CEO.”

Kent Cricket’s Chair, Krish Shanmuganathan, said: “Nimmo is one of the leaders of our Executive Team at the Club, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working closely over these last six months.

“He has overseen many successful projects during his many years of service so far. Importantly, he has all the right skills and experience to ensure continuity and focus during this transitional period, preparing the Club for the arrival of our permanent CEO.”
