Football fans are being asked to support a Razor Ruddock XI v Allstars XI at Maidstone United for two Kent hospices.Neil Ruddock

The former Tottenham, Liverpool and England defender is patron of Ashford Charity Funds with the football star now living in the area.

Neil Ruddock3Ruddock’s father was cared for by Pilgrim’s Hospice last year before sadly passing away and now the former footballer is looking to raise funds for them and The Heart of Kent Hospice.

Having already raised £10,000 by appearing on ITV’s Big Star’s Little Star with his daughter Pebbles, Ruddock is now putting on a game of football at Maidstone United’s Gallagher Stadium on Sunday 1st June.

Razor’s XI will take on an Allstars XI with former Gillingham managers Andy Hessenthaler and Mark Stimson set to feature, along with current Gills striker Danny Kedwell.

Celebrities such as DJ Spoony will also take to the field for the game with the proceeds set to be split between the two charities.

Gates open at 1pm with the match set to kick off at 2:15pm with tickets available in advance at just £5 for adults and only £12 for families.
