Kent’s Bradley Ray was dominant from start to finish of the latest Bennetts British Superbike Championship at the weekend.

Ray took a treble at Snetterton, and in doing so became the first rider to do a double treble in BSB history. It also means that he has won the last six races that he has raced at Snetterton.
Not only that but he is the first rider since James Witham in 1993 to win the seven of the opening eight races of the season. He now holds a thirty point lead in the championship as the series heads to Knockhill in two weeks time.

No one could live with Ray across the weekend, he took lights to flag victories in all three races, he took the fastest lap in all three races as well. Such was his dominance, the only time anyone got past him was in turn two of race two, when Kyle Ryde took the lead briefly but he couldn’t stop the bike and Ray swept majestically back through into the lead.
Speaking after the perfect weekend, Ray said: It’s been an incredible weekend, and heading into Snetterton, I didn’t expect to have been as strong as we were.

“Kyle kept me really honest in that last race, I was able to pull at the start, but the time was coming down. I tried to manage the lap times and was able to respond when I needed to.
“I think we almost identically matched lap times – I made a few small mistakes at the end with a few laps to go because I was so excited to do the triple but overall a very positive weekend and I’m looking forward to Knockhill.”
