Ray leads the pack into Superpole
Ray leads the pack into Superpole

Bradley Ray was quickest in free practice at Cadwell Park today as he heads into Superpole and race one on Sunday.

The British Superbike Championship headed to Louth for the latest round of the season and it is Kent’s very own Ray who has topped the timesheets today.

He was quickest in both of the free practice sessions and heads into the Superpole in confident mood.

In FP1 he was ahead of Storm Stacey, Kyle Ryde and Ryan Vickers and in FP1 he was ahead of Ryde, Vickers and rookie Joe Talbot.

Speaking after free practice, Ray said: “I am very happy with how it has gone so far. We didn’t get as many laps in the test yesterday evening, but today the first session was good and pretty much dry. I didn’t know how hard to push at the start, but I knew it might have been our only dry session so sometimes you just have to pull your socks up and get on with it!

“The boys made a change to the bike for the second session and we got some laps in before the rain came and I felt straight away better than I did this morning, so it has been a positive day and I think we can work on that tomorrow.

“We have got a fair bit of time there so the time came pretty good; I feel like there is a bit more in there and overall it has been a positive day.”
