Brad Ray is keen to keep up his recent momentum as the British Superbike Championship heads to the penultimate round at Donington Park.

Ray goes into the weekend off the back of a double podium at Assen last time out, and he will be keen to put his Yamaha R1 back on the podium in the three races at Donington Park.

Currently 42 points adrift of Scott Redding in second place in the championship standings, the team head to Donington Park focused on applying pressure and closing that gap with strong, consistent results across all three races. 

The team’s recent run of strong form has seen them secure nine podium finishes in four rounds – as a result, they carry unshakable confidence into the upcoming weekend in Leicestershire.   

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Ray said: “I’m really looking forward to Donington Park this weekend. It’s a circuit that suits both me and the R1, and after the double podium at Assen we’re heading in with a strong feeling and plenty of momentum.

“We’ve made great progress with the bike over recent rounds, and the aim now is to keep that going and fight for the podium in all three races. Scott (Redding) is 42 points ahead of us in second, so we know every result counts, and we’ll be working hard to start closing that gap.

“We’re confident in our ability to fight at the front and hopefully end the weekend a step closer to second in the championship before the final round of the year.”
