Ray confirmed for 2018 BSB season

Lydd’s Bradley Ray has today been confirmed as returning to the British Superbike Championship for 2018, following an impressive debut season in the BSB in 2017.

Having ridden for the satellite Bennetts Suzuki last season, Ray will make the step-up to the Buildbase Suzuki team for 2018, where he will be partnered by Richard Cooper, runner-up in the National Superstock 1000 Championship, with the team also fielding Australian Billy McConnell in the Superstock class.

Speaking about returning to the British Superbike Championhip for 2018, Ray said: “I’m really happy to be re-signing for Suzuki, and stepping up to the official team.”

“Last season was obviously my first year on a superbike and it was a learning year for me, but we improved every time we went out and by the end of the year we could challenge for the top six regularly and also finished on the podium.“

“With a year of experience under my belt and also a year of development complete for the team with the new GSX-R1000, I’m already looking forward to 2018, and the aim has got to be to keep improving and fight for the Showdown.”
