Saturday morning qualifying proved fruitful for Rochester based Jamun racing at the opening Formula Ford of Great Britain Championship race weekend.Dan Cammish

Returning driver Scott Malvern the 2011 Champion qualified on the front row of the grid for the afternoon’s opening race of the season.

The second row comprises his teammate Luke Williams who was once again showing his experienced in this formula, finishing in third place. Rookie team mate Nico Maranzana qualified fifth for the weekend’s races in just his first race, showing his natural talent and raw speed and promise for the future. Stand in driver Ben Anderson qualified in a solid ninth place.

It was Dan Cammish though that topped the time charts and took pole position underlying the fact that he is the man to beat this race weekend, no one has been quicker than him yet as he topped the timing charts in both of Friday’s practice sessions.

Race One of the season gets underway this afternoon at 2:45pm with races two and three tomorrow at 11:00am and 5:45pm. Coverage of the Sunday British Touring Car race day will be broadcast live on ITV4 tomorrow from 10:45 am until 6:00pm.
