| Partnering Josh Price, TF Sport’s weekend got off to a positive start in the first of the two practice sessions. Patrick set the fastest time for the duo, with the Aston Martin Racing Academy Driver setting his best time on his very last flying lap of the sessions.
When the time came for the second practice session, Patrick – fresh from his pole position at Silverstone – led the way, once again setting the quickest time of 1:36.731s for the pair ahead of the all-important qualifying.
Qualifying saw more positive results for 16-year-old Patrick. With Josh out in the first part of the session, Patrick was the second driver to set his qualifying times. Demonstrating another mature driving performance, Patrick set a time of 1:35.864s to partner Josh’s 1:36.021s. With the session complete, the #95 pairing were 11th overall in class ahead of Sunday’s two-hour race.
Unfortunately, the race proved to be incredibly challenging for the pair. With Josh at the helm of their Aston Martin Vantage GT4 first, a clean getaway from the start line was made. However, another competitor made contact with the #95 car which ultimately bent the right steering arm of the car.
When it came to Patrick’s turn in the car, he drove at a good pace despite the significant damage causing understeer and subsequent worn brakes. With damage limitations coming into play, the best that they could achieve was 11th in class. |
