Lydd Town have this evening announced some changes to their management team with Scott Porter arriving as First Team Manager.

The former Club Captain will take up his new role immediately having left fellow SCEFL Premier Division side Hollands and Blair earlier in the week.

He replaces James Rogers, who will concentrate on his increased playing commitments. He hands a side to Porter who are currently ninth in the Premier Division, seven points off the play-off places.

The new manager will be joined by Mark Lane and Shaun Welford who worked with him at Hollands and Blair. They will be joined on the coaching staff by existing first ream coaches Owen Kessack and Dexter Gondongwe.

Tom Wynter will remain with the club and assume a support role to Porter, as he continues his come back from an ACL injury, as he steps up his return to playing football.

The office website said in the announcement “On a final note, the club would like to expresses its gratitude to Rogo (James Rogers) for his dedication and commitment in his role as First Team Manager and hope everyone gives a warm welcome to Scott, Mark and Shaun on their next trip down to the Lyndsey Field as the club looks to push on in its attempts to achieve a play-off place.”

Scott Porters first home game will be this Saturday afternoon as they host VCD Athletic.
