Jake Hill rounded off this chapter of his Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship career with a podium at his final home round at Brands Hatch last weekend.

It wasn’t the win that he wanted to sign-off but he did put on some entertaining racing in race two slicing his way through the field to seventh place, before finishing third in the final race of the season.

Behind the wheel of his #1 WSR-run BMW 330i M Sport, Jake Hill and the team kicked off the weekend with solid running in the opening two free practice sessions, posting P7 and P12 respectively as they prepared for the final qualifying session of the season on Saturday afternoon.

Placed in the second qualifying group, Jake led his opening session, advancing into the top-12 shootout. Battling blustery conditions, he delivered another strong lap to reach the quick-six showdown. With limited TTB compared to his competitors, Jake would eventually claim P6, lining up on the third row for Sunday’s first race.

Race day dawned with bright sunshine and clear skies, and Jake Hill positioned himself strongly within the leading pack as the opening lap unfolded. Unfortunately, contact with a competitor during a battle for position resulted in a puncture, forcing him to limp back to the pits. Jake ultimately crossed the finish line in P19, marking a disappointing start to Sunday’s racing action, with the battle for P3 in the championship brought to a premature end.

In race two, Jake started from the rear of the grid but wasted no time working his way through the field. Demonstrating excellent race craft and calculated overtakes, he climbed into the top ten by the end of lap five, before a safety car temporarily paused his charge. As the race resumed, Jake continued to gain positions, aided by retirements further up the order, which brought about another safety car period. When the final safety car period came to a close, he held his position to the finish, securing a hard-fought P7 at the chequered flag and a spot in the reverse grid draw for the final race of the day.

Starting from P3 in the reverse grid, Jake Hill immediately challenged for the lead as the field surged into Druids on the opening lap. After dropping to P4 in the early stages, a safety car was deployed following an on-track incident. At the restart, Jake executed a calculated move up the inside of Moffat at Surtees to reclaim P3, before settling in behind the two leaders who had built a gap. He held his position comfortably to the chequered flag, securing his seventh podium of the season to bow out of the BTCC in style.

At the conclusion of the weekend’s action, Jake secured a fourth-place finish in the drivers’ standings on 295 points. Across the 2025 campaign, his final chapter in the BTCC, he and the team collected 5 wins and seven podiums, bringing a memorable and successful chapter to an end.

Speaking after the final weekend of the season, Hill said: “What an emotional weekend at Brands Hatch! Sunday was a rollercoaster of highs and lows—unfortunately, the puncture in race one dashed our hopes of finishing P3 in the championship.

“After that, it was all about giving our best in races two and three. Race two was a blast, moving from P19 to P7, and ending my BTCC chapter with a podium in my final race felt like the perfect send-off.
