Two sides who have made good starts to their seasons meet in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon when Petts Wood & Holmesdale host Windsor & Eton in the First Qualifying Round at The New Inn Stadium, Oakley Road, Bromley Common.

The Dalers reached this stage of the competition with wins over Tooting & Mitcham 3-2 away in a replay and 5-1 at Raynes Park Vale. In the SCEFL Premier Division Dale have played three games so far and sit eighth in the table with six points.
In their last game Pete Nolan & Andy Constable’s side lost 3-4 at home to AFC Greenwich Borough, Charlie Clover scoring twice, with Lewis Heywood-Oriogun getting the other.
The Royals have progressed to the first qualifying round withwins over North Leigh 5-0 and Bristol Manor Farm 2-1. In their league campaign Windsor & Eton also sit eighth with sixpoints from three matches, competing in Division 1 South Central of the Isthmian Football League following promotion last season from the Combined Counties League.
Last time out Rob Webb’s side won 3-1 over Ascot United with goals from Isiah Chase, Luke Phillips and Jack Mazzone.
This game promises to be an intriguing cup tie between two in form teams looking to progress in the famous old competition. The FA Cup always brings a special something with it and with National League South sides coming into the cup in the next round, there is also the potential for a high profile tie for the team who gets through.
