Nothing less than four points will do for Kevin Parrish and the Invicta Dynamos this weekend as Andy Smith looks to make history.

Having won their last thirteen league games, the Dynamos sit on top of the NIHL Southern Division and this weekend they will be aiming for two more victories.

They kick off the weekend away to Streatham Redskins and come back to Gillingham on Sunday evening where they take on Bracknell Hornets.

Both games provide stiff challenges for the Dynamos, but Parrish insists his side need to be on top form and keep on winning:

“A four point weekend is a must for us if we are going to keep up our push to win the league. In years gone by we have dropped points in games like these and it’s cost us.”

“So we need to play to our potential and carry on the form we have started to show in recent weeks. If we do that, we should be the team to beat this season.”

It’s widely expected that Andy Smith will go on and make history on Saturday night as he closes in on 1,000 points for the club.

Starting the weekend on 999 points, Smith needs just an assist or a goal at Streatham to bring up the landmark with Parrish pleased for his forward:

“No one has worked harder over the years to get where he has that Andy and it’s a shame he didn’t bring it up at home last Sunday against the London Raiders.”

“He’d love to bring it up at home, but it looks like there is every chance it will be away now. We will have great support at Streatham and hopefully by the time we come back on Sunday night we can all celebrate together.”

Face off at the Silver Blades on Sunday night is 5:15pm with a big crowd expected to cheer on the side.
