Head Coach Kevin Parrish wants the Invicta Dynamos to keep the pressure on teams around them at the top of the league with a win against London Raiders on Sunday.

The Dynamos begin life in 2015 at the top of the NIHL Southern Division after twelve straight league victories, sitting two points clear of their nearest rivals Chelmsford Chieftains.

This weekend the Dynamos end their English Challenge Cup away to Milton Keynes Lightning before returning to Kent on Sunday evening to take on local rivals London Raiders.

The two games represent two totally different challenges for the Dynamos and Parrish is hoping the game at Milton Keynes on Saturday night will give his side the chance to get some useful ice time in their legs:

“For the Milton Keynes game we need to get through it and blow away some cobwebs from the New Year.”

Despite sitting at the bottom of the league, Parrish knows his side can’t underestimate the Raiders on Sunday having beaten Milton Keynes Thunder last week and having made additions to their roster:

“London Raiders have strengthened over the Christmas period and grabbed themselves a win last week.”

“A quick, fast start is needed to set the tone for the game to keep pressure on the other teams around us.”

The Dynamos will be buoyed by the return of both Billy and Charlie Phillips for this weekend after serving their suspensions, although Charlie has been suffering with a wrist injury in recent weeks.

Parrish will also be hoping that forward Andy Smith will be available after missing last weekend with flu. Smith is just six points away from registering 1,000 points for the club and this Sunday would be the perfect time to reach the landmark in front of the passionate home fans.
