Head Coach Kevin Parrish wants the Invicta Dynamos to get back to winning ways when they head to London Raiders on Saturday evening.Kevin Parrish banner - by Nicky Craft

On the back of three straight defeats, the Dynamos are in NIHL Southern Cup action away to their local rivals on Saturday night before returning to Gillingham on Sunday where they will face EPL side Basingstoke Bison in the English Challenge Cup.

Losses to both the Chelmsford Chieftains and the Wightlink Raiders were followed up with a defeat to Milton Keynes Lightning last Sunday, but three wins at the start of the campaign have seen the Dynamos get off to a decent start to the season.

With both Billy and Charlie Phillips set to face their former side this Saturday, Parrish is hoping his team can put in an impressive performance and come away with two points, whilst accepting Sunday’s game will be another tough one for the Dynamos:

“Saturday is a must win for us after the recent losses we have had.”

“Sunday will be tough against a well respected Bison team, but we can use games like this as a stepping stone for the rest of our season.”Charlie Phillips - DT

As for Charlie Phillips, the seventeen year old has already made a huge impact with Dynamos fans having served a four game ban at the start of the season.

Big hits in his opening two games against Wightlink and Milton Keynes have already endeared him with the home support and the talented teenager has promised more of the same, but won’t look to be overly aggresive against his old team-mates on Saturday night:

“It’s all about going there and getting two points. I picked up too many penalties last season and I’ve not been brought here to sit on the bench.”

“I enjoy the physical side of the game and I’ve got nothing to lose going up against someone bigger than me.”

“It’s part of my game, but for me it’s about picking up wins for the side and nothing else.”

A bumper crowd is expected at the Silver Blades in Gillingham on Sunday evening with face off at 5:15pm.
