Head Coach Kevin Parrish has called on his Invicta Dynamos side to step it up as they face another two games this weekend.141101_13

They kick off the weekend away to the Oxford City Stars in the NIHL Southern Division on Saturday night before returning to Gillingham on Sunday evening to face the Bracknell Bees in the English Challenge Cup.

The two games will give the Dynamos completely different tests with the Stars having taken just four points from their opening 13 league games, whilst the Bees will come to the Silver Blades Ice Bowl as firm favourites.

For Parrish though, he wants to see more from his side this weekend and is looking for a response having lost their last game 9-1 against the Swindon Wildcats in the English Challenge Cup:

“Effort, passion and heart is needed this weekend. I’ve felt the past few weeks that the flame has been put out and we need to relight it quickly to keep our season on track.”

A morale boosting win against the Stars on Saturday night will no doubt help relight that fire, with leaders Chelmsford Chieftains already showing they could be the team to beat in the league again this season.

With games coming thick and fast throughout November, the trick will be to keep pace with the top three and gradually move up the table.

Defeat at Oxford and the season could be over before it’s begun.
