Hythe Town manager Tim Dixon announced a number of personnel changes within his team on Friday with one player coming in and two departing Reachfields.

Hythe Town

Both midfielder Michael Yianni and striker Craig Thompson will be moving to Southern Counties East side Ashford United.

Yianni, who began his fifth stint at Hythe in August 2014 also has experience of playing for Folkestone Invicta and Maidstone United, will be joined by physical striker Craig Thompson, who arguably had his best season at Reachfields in 2014/15 with 13 goals in all competitions.

Both players will get a chance to face their former club when the Cannons travel to Homelands on the first of August for a pre-season friendly.

There is however, some more positive news for Hythe fans as ex- Gillingham and Ramsgate defender Stephen Butcher has joined the club.

Butcher, who has worked under Tim Dixon in Thanet, is capable of playing in any defensive position as well as across midfield.

The club have also hinted at further announcements with more players expecting to come and go in the coming days.
