Charlton will hold a press conference at The Valley on Monday morning when Bob Peeters will be officially unveiled.

Owner, Roland Duchatelet, as well as Katrien Meire and Richard Murray will also be in attendance.

There could be other new faces present. The Addicks added Patrick Van Houdt and Guy Kiala to their backroom staff on Friday.

Van Houdt is a coach who was previously at KV Mechelen and he will split his time between the first team and Jason Euell’s development squad.

Kiala is a performance analyst who worked with Peeters at Waasland-Beveren. He will assist with the first team and both development squads.

It would be surprising if the club did not announce a signing or two at the meeting, with Igor Vetokele favourite to be the first.

Unsurprisingly, after the draw for the Capital One Cup paired Charlton with Colchester, the two clubs have called off their friendly that was scheduled for 30 July.

The Addicks are searching for fresh opponents for the date, as well as trying to arrange a game for Saturday 26 July.
