The first stage of racing driver Alex Nevill’s 2021 racing plans have been confirmed with confirmation from Motorsport UK that the Kent racing driver has retained his place on the Motorsport UK Academy’s “Team UK futures” squad.

The Motorsport UK Academy is a talent development pathway that equips the UK’s most promising young drivers with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to maximise their performance.

The programme is predominantly workshop based and features sessions with industry experts in areas such as nutrition, fitness, sports psychology and engineering amongst others.

Previous graduates from the Academy include F1 racers George Russell, Jack Aitken and WRC star Elfyn Evans.

“It’s an honour to be a part of the Motorsport UK Academy and I’m so proud to be a part of it once again in 2021” Alex enthused.

“The resources and coaching it provides access to make it a real ‘money can’t buy’ opportunity and I’ve really felt the benefits of that over the last couple of years.

“For me, the goal every year is to continue to grow and develop as a driver and the Academy offers an opportunity to do exactly that.”

Alex’s on-track plans for 2021 remain a work in progress for now with an announcement expected prior to the start of the racing season.
